Mighty Women Sharing Circles

MWU Faq

Support groups for single women of all ages are an opportunity to make new friends, find mentors, and create community. A group can begin with just two or three women, creating a safe, comfortable space in which to share experiences, exchange information and obtain mentoring for difficult life changes like divorce, death, or a move to a new city. Groups can be formed based on any acquaintance with shared interests like work, yoga, church, social activism, neighborhood- someone you meet walking the dog or standing in line at the market. Groups meet once a month and use the native tradition of the ' sharing circle,” the practice of listening silently to each participant.

When women’s lives are jolted by major events, the results can be depression, anxiety, and stress-related illness. Research shows that women’s health directly corresponds to their level of support and friendship.

' In order to be happy and productive, women need to feel they belong to a safe, nurturing and respectful group of other women who they can turn to for a sense of connection,” says Gail Feldman, MWU founder.

' A Mighty Woman is aligned with her power- mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. She has let go of all limitations, those invisible chains that held her back from her highest self-expression. A Mighty Woman lives in all possibility.”
